KAYLA
SWANSON
about me

Kayla is a licensed mental health counselor in training who believes in creating a safe and healing environment for all of her clients. She provides an authentic, collaborative, and supportive space for her clients to be able to gain insight from the past so they can flourish in the future. As a therapist, Kayla supports clients in challenging their dysfunctional beliefs, developing awareness around unconscious patterns, and developing a holistic understanding of emotions, behavior, and the mind-body connection.
Kayla Swanson holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Kayla enjoys bringing a psychodynamic approach to therapy, supplementing her work with concepts from attachment theory, dialectical behavior therapy, internal family systems, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Kayla enjoys working with a wide range of adults with concerns related to depression, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, trauma, and substance use. Kayla has experience working with co-occurring disorders as well. She also enjoys working with body image, relationship concerns, sex/sexuality, anger, spirituality/religion, and stage of life transitions. Wherever you are on your journey, Kayla looks forward to working with you.
